LOVES TO CUDDLE

Royce was picked up as a stray by Broward Animal Control on December 21st when he was found curled up by the back gate of a home in a senior living community. Upon closer inspection of Royce, the shelter immediately noticed what poor condition Royce was in. Covered in sores, open wounds, scabs, and blood - it was obvious that Royce's past hadn't been a happy one. As a rescue - we read his story and knew we had to do something to help him. Being that it was only a matter of days before Christmas, most vet offices were completely booked, or closed. We reached out to our local vet, Gardens Animal Hospital, who without hesitation (regardless of being booked) committed to helping us save Royce. While at the vet Royce had multiple drains put in to help with infection, laser therapy on many of his wounds to help speed up the healing process, and of course - TONS of TLC. Once Royce was healthy enough to come to Feeling Fine Canine and Equine Rescue, we picked him up to begin his full rehabilitation.
Since being with us, Royce has made it known that he loves kisses, treats, cuddles, and bones. Royce is extremely gentle and fiercely loyal, following us around our property and never straying more than a few feet away. We believe Royce would do best in an only dog home with no cats. He loves children.
